Contemporary Retirement Apartments

Image

Denleigh was chosen by a highly-rated property developer to supply bespoke laminate doors and ironmongery for a contemporary £ multi-million development of retirement living apartments, on the site of the former Magistrates Court in leafy Dorking, Surrey.

Only 5 minutes walk from Dorking high street with its myriads of independent shops, bars and restaurants, Taylor Place is a stylish new development of 22 one and two-bedroom apartments set in this bustling and picturesque market town. Each thoughtfully designed apartment benefits from access to its own outdoor space, with ground-floor properties opening up onto private patio areas and upper-floor apartments having large balconies with superb views. Having built a trusted relationship with the contractor based on our performance on previous projects, we were delighted to be approached to supply a comprehensive package for these apartments consisting of internal doors and ironmongery.

Oak effect laminate doors prove the right choice

Doors in communal areas needed to be modern, stylish and hardwearing, and following the provision of sample finishes, the client made an excellent choice in the Dura-202 Laminate Door from our new Dendura 200 range, featuring a textured dark oak effect CPL. The Dura-201 comes with two vertical chrome inlays that run the full height of the door, contrasting superbly with the oak effect finish.

The quality CPL laminate on these doors has a realistic stained oak appearance but is tough and resistant to marking, easy to clean and perfectly consistent on every door, making it ideally suited to communal areas with higher footfall. Denleigh supplied 42 of these doors in a range of sizes up to 838mm wide x 1981mm high, most of which were FD30 fire rated, providing additional protection to key areas. Glazed versions of the doors featuring a single pane of fire-resistant glass were installed in corridors. The specification of the doors also meant no further finishing was required on site allowing for an efficient 'hang and go' installation.

For a total solution the doors were supplied with all required ironmongery including  pull handles, push plates, fire door signage and door closers. The LR294 lever handle in a stylish polished chrome / satin chrome finish from our Dentrata range was chosen  to complement many of the doors, along with matching LR803 euro profile escutcheon and LR800 bathroom turn and release in the same finish.

Timely delivery of the doors and ironmongery alongside project management was provided by the Denleigh project management team to ensure total client satisfaction.
